In this time of uncertainty, I want you to know we are doing everything we can to keep operations as fluid as possible while protecting all our employees and the customers we work with. The news of our industry changes daily, but there are committees in place presenting proposals to our local government leaders to consider construction as an essential industry and keep operations open.
They are also asking to create a best practice policy for the many situations that will arise. I think it is necessary to put our own policies in place to protect all of you. This could and probably will be an ever-changing policy. With that being said, I will communicate everything I know as soon as I know it. Let’s all stay positive and helpful and do our part to flatten the curve. I am very positive we are going to get through this stronger and better than ever!
These Policies are in place effective immediately:
- If you are sick, DO NOT come to work! Including but not limited to having symptoms of coughing, fever, aches, shortness of breath
- If you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, please let us know immediately and self-quarantine yourself for 14 days
- Please refrain from coming into the office to visit, as we are trying to protect everyone with practicing social distancing
- Wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and water as much as possible. Especially after using the restroom, eating, sneezing or coughing. Use hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol when soap and water is not available
- Refrain from touching your face as much as possible
- Keep a 5-foot distance between you and others when at all possible while on a job site
- If you sneeze or cough use a tissue and throw it away immediately. If a tissue is not available cough or sneeze into your elbow
- If you call in sick with any of the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, we may ask you to obtain a doctor’s note before returning to work. Keep in mind the COVID-19 test is taking 8 to 10 days to get results Our focus is to keep each and every one of you safe! I thank you and appreciate you all for everything you do every day.
